Sisi Positif Pemenuhan Peran Ganda: Work Family Enrichment dan Work Engagement
Abstract
Manusia sepanjang hidupnya akan dihadapkan pada beberapa peran yang harus dijalankannya. Interaksi berbagai peran tersebut tidak selamanya berdampak negatif. Ada kecenderungan munculnya dampak positif bagi individu, salah satunya adalah terbentuknya keterikatan kerja melalui work-family enrichment. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi pengaruh work-family enrichment terhadap work engagement pada pegawai Universitas X yang sudah menikah di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Pengukuran work-family enrichment menggunakan skala work-family enrichment yang dikembangkan oleh Carlson, Wayne, Kacmar & Grzywacz (2006), sedangkan pengukuran work engagement menggunakan Ultrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) versi 17 yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli & Bakker (2003). Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen dan tenaga kependidikan yang telah menikah serta memiliki anak dengan total responden sebanyak 220 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan Work-Family Enrichment terhadap Work Engagement (p-value < .001) dengan kontribusi sebesar 52,4%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, disarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya untuk mengkaji pengaruh dari arah work-to-family enrichment dan family-to-work enrichment terhadap work engagement.
