Pengaruh Strategi Komunikasi Pemimpin dan Kelompok Generasi Pegawai terhadap Perbedaan Komitmen Karyawan untuk Berubah

Abstract


Perubahan organisasi adalah inisiatif yang harus dilakukan untuk memperkuat posisi perusahaan dalam persaingan bisnis. Namun demikian, potensi kegagalan dalam menjalankan perubahan sangat besar sehingga perlu adanya komitmen untuk berubah dari seluruh pihak di organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan pengaruh strategi komunikasi pemimpin dan kelompok generasi pegawai terhadap komitmen pegawai untuk berubah dalam perubahan organisasi. Pada penelitian ini, 547 partisipan dikumpulkan melalui teknik convenience sampling. Menggunakan desain penelitian 2 x 3 factorial ANOVA vignette-based scenario, penelitian ini terdiri atas 6 (enam) kombinasi strategi komunikasi dan kelompok generasi between-subject design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara strategi komunikasi pemimpin (F(1, 541) = 36,903, p < 0,001, η² = 0,064) dan kelompok generasi pegawai (F(2, 541) = 3,346, p < 0,05, η² = 0,012) terhadap komitmen pegawai untuk berubah. Selain itu, strategi komunikasi pemimpin menimbulkan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap komitmen pegawai untuk berubah berdasarkan perbedaan kelompok generasinya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi organisasi untuk menerapkan strategi komunikasi yang sesuai untuk kelompok generasi pegawai yang tepat sehingga memunculkan komitmen pegawai untuk berubah di dalam proses perubahan organisasi.
